The hospitality sector faces another challenging winter as costs rise and demand slows in the first quarter of 2026. January to March are traditionally lean trading months for operators, but this year, pressures on energy, supply, and consumer confidence are expected to intensify.
To support businesses through this critical period, The Full Range is relaunching our Help Out Hospitality (HOH) campaign. A national initiative designed to boost trade, fill seats, and strengthen relationships across the UK.
A National Relaunch for 2026
Originally launched in Scotland in 2021, Help Out Hospitality was created to support venues in recovering after COVID. For 2026, the campaign returns with a broader, national focus on uniting suppliers, operators, and customers. All with the aim of keeping the industry moving during its quietest quarter.
From 1 January to 31 March 2026, participating suppliers will offer trade discounts to operators who commit to passing those savings on to guests. These offers will appear on the commission-free Help Out Hospitality website as part of a national campaign, giving consumers one central place to find great-value dining, drinking, and stay offers across the UK.
Why It Matters
The winter trading period is tough for everyone in hospitality. After the festive peak, sales typically drop by as much as 30–40%, while costs remain high. Rising interest rates, energy bills, and staffing expenses continue to squeeze margins.
At the same time, suppliers depend on steady volume to maintain production and cash flow. Help Out Hospitality brings both sides together. Helping operators stay busy, helping suppliers move stock, and giving guests better value when they need it most.
It’s about working together to keep the industry thriving. Transforming empty tables into trading opportunities.
How the Campaign Works
Suppliers set Q1 discounts on selected categories or lines.
Operators use those savings to create guest-facing offers.
The Help Out Hospitality website promotes each offer as part of a commission-free national campaign.
Guests book direct with the venue and get clear, genuine value throughout January, February, and March
Who Can Get Involved
Restaurants, bars, and cafés looking to drive mid-week trade.
Hotels and accommodation providers aiming to lift occupancy through early spring.
Suppliers and wholesalers seeking to support their clients and stimulate sales.
Groups and independents alike, across the UK.
Participation is straightforward, and campaign assets, guidance, and sign-up details are provided by The Full Range team.
The Wider Impact
Beyond commercial gain, Help Out Hospitality strengthens the fabric of the industry. It encourages collaboration over competition, builds loyalty between suppliers and operators, and supports local economies.
With economic pressures affecting both business and household budgets, initiatives like this are essential to keeping hospitality vibrant. We want to ensure tables are full, teams are employed, and communities continue to benefit from thriving local venues.
How to Join
Sign-ups are now open for both suppliers and operators.
Suppliers: set your discounts and categories, and we’ll support you with rollout materials.
Operators: register your offers to be featured on the Help Out Hospitality site.
The campaign runs from 1 January to 31 March 2026, with pre-launch promotion from December.
